Bloomington, IN – CEO Bryan Bailey of Canine Companions and
President Kate Burgun of Watershed Marketing Resources announce
the launch of Canine Companions’ new Web site, an upbeat cyber
place for the 13-year old Bloomington-based pet care business. The
inviting and cheerful site design by Cairril.com Design & Marketing,
Inc., is now “open for business” at www.BloomingtonDogs.com.
The site is a key component in a broad strategic marketing and rebranding
plan guided by Burgun. The initiative positions Canine Companions
as THE FUN PLACE FOR PET CARE, focusing on one-stop convenience,
a sense of play, and caring professionalism that are the mission
of Canine Companions, a source for boarding, veterinary care, doggy
daycare, training and grooming—services offered all under
one roof. The comprehensive branding project incorporates a new
logo, Web site, logo wear, rewards cards, brochure, vehicles, collateral
materials, signage, sales and service initiatives, and a new lobby
design. In addition, Bailey also plans to update kennels and other
areas of the facility and add new veterinary services.
Designed to cultivate two-way communications with clients, BloomingtonDogs.com
now offers up-to-date options for requesting reservations and appointments.
Design elements include a palette of warm hues, photos of pets and
owners bonding, and a logo created by Cairril.com depicting dogs
romping with a young woman. More information about services, mission,
fees and personnel is also included.
Burgun and Bailey began collaboration in July 2005 on a new marketing
plan to develop Canine Companions’ unique, sustainable brand,
with an eye on facility redesign and possible expansion. Local talents
involved in the initial rebranding work include the Burgun dream-team
of sign and collateral designer Gary Anderson of Bloomington Design,
interior space designer Becky Gavin of Creative Spaces, and graphic
designer/web designer Cairril Mills of Cairril.com. Bailey has retained
contractor Matt Davis of Paramount Homes to manage the facility’s
redesign and construction, scheduled for completion around December
1.
Kate Burgun founded Watershed Marketing Resources in May of 2005
to assist local businesses in achieving new levels of success through
integrated marketing strategies. Establishing enduring brands and
memorable messages, ringing the bell with target audiences, making
wise media buys, and fine-tuning sales and customer service strategies
are specific areas of interest. Burgun has been involved in advertising
and marketing for 30 years, including positions in Washington, DC,
Chicago and New York City. She provides a unique knowledge of the
