Karst Dog Park grand opening party July 12th!
Bloomington, IN—Canine Companions is proud to announce the grand opening of Karst Dog Park on Saturday, July 12th, 6:00 - 7:30pm.

The park, sponsored by Canine Companions through a $50,000 donation, is located at 2450 S. Endwright Road in Bloomington.

Join the staff of the park’s sponsor Canine Companions and Monroe County Parks & Recreation to celebrate the Karst Dog Park Grand Opening Dog Party.

• Register to win fabulous prizes, receive give-a-ways, socialize with other dog park members
• Bring your camera for a photo op with the Dog Park mascot.
• Register your dog on-site with a copy of the proper vet records (vaccination expiration dates/spayed/neutered) and a check or credit card for payment.(All Dog Park rules apply during the festivities.)
• You don't need a dog to join the party! Animal Care & Control will have adoptable dogs on site, along with the opportunity to mingle with the Monroe County Humane Association and Pets ALIVE staff.

Karst Dog Park is larger than a football field, with safety fences, separate enclosures for small and large dogs, watering stations, computerized security, grass irrigation, benches, and accessibility features.

According to Kelli Witner, Assistant Administrator at Monroe County Parks & Recreation, the park has been a dream for ten years and is a culmination of a wish list gleaned from studying other dog parks around the country.

“This could absolutely not come about without Canine Companions’ sponsorship and [owner] Bryan Bailey’s personal interest in animal responsibility,” Witner said.  “He is truly passionate about giving back to this community and being a leader in animal welfare.”

Bryan will be leading two special free training classes in conjunction with the opening of Karst Dog Park. Two off-leash play training sessions are available; one on July 24th and the other August 9th.

Canine Companions is a full-service dog care facility. It offers dog boarding, training, daycare, grooming, and an on-site veterinary hospital. See www.bloomingtondogs.com for more information.
